About Us
Fred Simon has been practicing law since 1974 in Louisville, Kentucky. He earned his B.A. degree from Bradley University and his J.D. degree from the University of Memphis School of Law. Mr. Simon is a member of the Louisville, Kentucky, and American Bar Associations and handles cases in all Kentucky federal and state courts.
One focus of Mr. Simon‘s law practice is in the probate court and with the administration of estates. He has taught business law at the University of Louisville and has regularly lectured to legal professionals and paralegal organizations about probate practice and procedure in Kentucky.
Mr. Simon also devotes a portion of his practice to engaging, advising and drafting individually relevant documents for clients to carry out their estate planning goals.
In addition to the above legal areas, Mr. Simon is well versed in bankruptcy law and practice, having represented both debtors and creditors in federal court.
Mr. Simon also has extensive experience in business law, specifically with assisting entrepreneurs and new business owners to form legal entities and in representing clients on contracts and related matters.
Fred Simon was a volunteer firefighter with the Harrods Creek Fire Protection District for 20 years, having attained the rank of lieutenant and he was Chairman of the Board of Trustees for many years until the fire department merged with the Anchorage Middletown Fire Protection District in July 2019. Mr. Simon also was elected to two terms as Mayor of the City of Glenview Hills, Kentucky.
